Realdania’s Privacy Policy

At Realdania data protection is a high priority. Whether you are a member of Realdania, applying for philanthropic grants, visit our websites or otherwise are in contact with Realdania, we do al-ways collect and process your personal data in accordance with applicable legislation and guidelines.   • Realdania collects and process personal data regarding members for several purposes, in-cluding: 

    1. Signing up for newsletter 
    2. Participation in events 
    3. Sending out brochures, invitations, news and other information about Realdania 
    4. Marketing in general
    5. Login to website
    6. Discount vouchers
    7. Ensuring that your personal data is updated
    8. Ensuring that you own real estate
    9. Identification of candidates to Realdania’s committee of representatives, in connection with our   democratic process

    The personal data we collect about our members is name, title, company, address, email, phone numbers, CPR-number, etc. The data is collected when you submit it to us. The data is used, among other things, to register you in the Realdania association, when you sign-up for newsletters and in connection with events – or to send you brochures, invitations, news and other information about Realdania.

    We only use your personal data to send you special offers if you are a member and have given us your explicit consent. However, if permitted by law, we can contact you without ob-taining your consent beforehand. You can always specify if you do not wish to receive email or other information from us in the future. 

    If you are a member of Realdania and visit realdania.dk via the newsletter My Realdania, we will also collect data about your visit to be able to target the information you receive, so they will fit your interests as far as possible.

    The CPR-number helps us to clearly identify you, so we can make sure that we have the cor-rect information about you. We are connected to the central national register, from where we receive information on a daily basis about change of address, purchase and sale of real es-tate and notice of death. According to Realdania’s articles of association, it is a requirement that you own real estate to be a member, and we must at all times ensure that this is complied with. 

    In connection with Realdania’s democratic process, where we search for candidates to Real-dania’s assembly of representatives, we use your submitted data and your publicly available information such as work place, position and position of trust via e.g. Google searches and social media platforms. The assembly of representatives is Realdania’s supreme authority and consists of 109 members. The assembly of representatives is elected among Realdania’s members.

    Disclosure

    We do not disclose your information to others, unless you have given your explicit consent to do so. Realdania does not collect personal data about you from third parties. The data that Realdania collects from members is not sold or disclosed to third parties without consent. It may also, under certain circumstances and according to applicable law, be necessary to dis-close data to public authorities or the police.  

    Deletion of Personal Data

    Your personal data will be deleted when we no longer need to process them in relation to one or more of the abovementioned purposes. However, statistical data can be processed and stored for longer time in anonymised form. 
     
  • Realdania collects and process personal data about applicants to philanthropic grants for a number of purposes, including: 

    • Processing applications for grants

    • Identification of former applicants

    The purpose with processing data, including personal data in connection with philanthropic grants, is to ensure that decisions about grants are made on the most substantiated grounds possible, and to identify possible links with previous and other philanthropic applications and projects.

    In the following you can see how Realdania registers and uses the information, you as an applicant is asked to provide, and the data you submit or the footprints you leave when you use the services provided. 

    Realdania registers the mentioned data electronically in a closed philanthropy system, and physical personal data records are kept in locked cabinets. Only appointed employees have access to the electronic and physical data. 
    When filling out application forms, you are asked to enter several personal data, including: name, address, telephone number and email. We use your personal data to be able to pro-cess your application. 

    Realdania does not collect information about the visitors’ profile on our own initiative. If you provide information in an electronic grant application, the submitted information is only pro-cessed in connection with the desired service. 

    Disclosure

    We do not disclose your information to third parties. Disclosure of data to public authorities may occur, if required by applicable legislation.  

    When allocating funds to private individuals the allocation is reported to SKAT. 

    Deletion of Personal Data

    In relation to grant applications we keep information about you and your projects in order to identify whether you have previously applied, as long as this information is relevant to us. 

    Your personal data will be deleted when we no longer need to process it in relation to one or more of the abovementioned purposes. However, statistical data can be processed and stored for longer time in anonymised form. 
     
  • Realdania collects personal data via the websites realdania.dk and mitrealdania.dk. Realdania collects and process personal data about members for a number of purposes, including: 

    • Statistics

    • Optimisation of user experience 

    The personal data we collect about the visitors on our websites is general internet data about your visit and your IP address. When you visit Realdania.dk or mitrealdania.dk our web server registers your visit using so-called cookies, i.e. small data files that collect web statistics. 

    The web server primarily saves general internet data connected to your visit – including which pages you have visited, the time of the visit and the duration of the visit. We use this infor-mation to compile traffic statistics on our website. We also register your computer’s IP ad-dress.

    Realdania does not collect personal data about you from third parties. The data that Real-dania collects via websites is not sold or disclosed to third parties without consent. 

    It may also, under certain circumstances and according to applicable law, be necessary to disclose data to public authorities or the police.  

     
  • When you subscribe to Realdania’s newsletter we register your email address and name, as you have submitted. We use the information to send you the newsletter and to compile statistics on the subscribers’ use of the content of the newsletter. 

    The data is stored by our data processor. A few appointed employees at Realdania have access to the list of subscribers. The information about the individual subscribers is not dis-closed and the information is immediately deleted if you cancel your subscription. Opt-out can be done directly from all newsletters using the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email. You can also contact realdania@realdania.dk to be deleted or get more information about the newsletter and our Privacy Policy. 
     

 

Security etc. 

Realdania will of course process all data with confidentiality and in accordance with the appli-cable data protection legislation. If you sign up at our website, we follow the Danish Data Protection Agency’s requirements and recommendations for transfer of personal data via the internet and your CPR-number is encrypted when stored.

Who can Access your Data? 

Only those of our employees who are directly dependent of the data, to be able to do their work, have access to your data. All individuals who are working with our member platform are subject to confidentiality. 

Realdania can, however, give access to appointed IT partners to work with the database sys-tem containing personal data, if the reason is operation and development of our websites and member platform. 

As a starting point, all data is used only within Realdania. For campaign applications personal data is disclosed to our trusted, external campaign office who process them on our behalf under our instructions and in accordance with our Privacy Policy and other applicable confi-dentiality and security measures, including the General Data Protection Regulation. 

Security and Storage of Data 

We have implemented security measures to ensure that our internal procedures meet our high security standards. In this way, we make every effort to protect the quality and integrity of your personal data. 

The data submitted to our website is encrypted when transferred between the user’s browser, the website and on to Realdania’s internal membership system. The process follows the re-quirements and recommendations of the Data Protection Agency.

Our membership system is an internal system in Realdania and only appointed employees have access to this. Processes around servers, users, storage and access to data are subject to ongoing security checks based on current legislation and recommendations. Processing and storage of data takes place in accordance with the requirements and recommendations of the Data Protection Agency as well as applicable legislation. 

Your Rights

You can, at any time, obtain access to the personal data you have provided to Realdania, with certain statutory exceptions. Furthermore, you have the right to object to the collection and further processing your data. In addition, you can require us to delete, restrict or correct data. 

You have the right to receive the data you have provided to us, in a machine-readable format and have your data transmitted to another data controller.   

You can, at any time, revoke any consents you have made. We will then delete your data, unless we can continue the processing on another legal basis.
