Corporate Governance
We are a private philanthropic organization based on investment activities. We are organized as a representative member democracy with about 180.000 members all over Denmark. Any real estate owner in Denmark can become a member of Realdania.
Our leadership structure consists of a Supervisory Board and an Executive Board. The Supervisory Board is responsible for overall leadership, while the Executive Board handles day-to-day management. At cross country election meetings, the members elect The Board of Representatives via a system that ensures diversity both geographically and professionally. The Board of Representatives elects the Supervisory Board, which in turn appoints the Executive Board.
The Board of Representatives represents the network and the professional and managerial knowledge that we need to ensure sound and competent business leadership. We follow the recommendations of the Danish Stock Exchange regarding good corporate governance with the necessary adjustments for our legal status as an association.
